Our country get more racially and culturally diverse everyday, but the remaining questions about whether Barack Obama is telling the truth about his own pastor, Jermiah Wright, Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago, IL or just huff-puff the growing controvesty about Obama's so-called judgement for the place of worship and his spiritual advisor?
Obama gave the major speech on race in America this Tuesday morning, 3/18 - "More Perfect Union" to quell the concerns about his own pastor, who officated his marriage, gave him spiritual advices and political insights. He addressed the issue of "truism" how the American society treat the African Americans and immigrants, et cetera, but not any words about the lesser-fornuate white Americans. Why???
Obama had brilliantly selected his own campaign and Senate staffers which he probably lead the successful national and global leadership facing the increasingly uncertain and chaotic world and national stage. Who knows?
Will the White America be in the real surprise by the Obama presidency or what? What about our own economic and societeal security as the multi-racially diverse people of the United States of America?
Questions remained why Obama tolerated such political ramblings at his own church for more than 20 years. Will the real Obama show himself what and who he is all about? Anyone in the leadership postiton, often have been greatly influenced by the associates on the mindset of given issues and crisis.
Some deaf African Americans expressed their skepticism about Barack Obama whether he is the AntiChrist frequently mentioned in the Holy Bible. How interesting!
The CNN people noticed how the cult-like atomsphere within the Obama rallies. Why Obama avoid the small focus group in various political rallies? Obama chose to electrificy the large crowds without exposing himself who and what he was all about.
Why Obama managed to keep his Columbia University years much under wraps??
One of the deaf-blind blogger, Bryne, expressed his digusts at Obama for his treatment of ASL interpreters at various political rallies like keeping terps away from Obama. Is the order by the U.S. Secret Services for Obama's own personal safety?
How much will Obama be good for the Deaf America? How much Obama really understand the importance of cultural and linguistic needs of the Deaf America? Will Obama be the budget buster or fiscally-responsible chief executive to deny the Medicaid fundings of the cochlear implant surgery on deaf children?
We, Deaf America have to be more politically active to elect the right individuals to all the local, state and national public offices to protect our own deaf interests as part of cultural and linguistic survival as Deaf American.
Obama sound too good to be true for his racially and socially inclusive vision of America. The author neither endorse any presidential contenders for the 2008 presidential election.
The Nader-Gonzales campaign team recently sent me their email message about how come the Democrats like Hillary and Obama not puruse for the impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney for the abuses of the U.S. Constitution to mislead the American people and the U.S. Congress on the issue of the Iraq War and the War on Terror and war profiteerings, ex. Haliburton and Titan. They made a good point about Spitzer v. Bush which made a real sense so far. Spitzer, Democrat, resigned in the best interests of his own constitutents, not Bush and Cheney.
It's time for us, Deaf Americans to demand the protection of American Sign Language to be part of the cultural and linguistic recognization by the United States government and embrace the unique and everlasting hertiage of the Deaf America's lasting contributions to the existence of country itself. We must get together to demand all the levels of government from funding the cochlear implant surgery on deaf youngsters and adults which do not address any health concerns at all. We ever have to pressure the private health industry to deny any insurance coverage for the CI surgery at all.
Having a cochlear implant surgery is a luxury item which have nothing to do with the necessity of daily human functions. People would not want to pay more health insurance preminum because some deaf people doing functionally fine without ability to hear. All human beings are adjustable to any physical flaws that make our humankind more diverse and interesting.

Buy Pepsi's Declining Stock Now to Keep AgBAD (AGBELL) People From Taking Control of the Pepsi Cola!
Pepsi Cola company faced the declined stock values due to the softened economy and consumer taste changes.
If you want to show your support and loyalty to the Pepsi Cola. That is very best time to buy up the Pepsi stocks at very good deal. Contact your stock brokers and financial planners NOW before the AgBAD (AGBell) people taking the boardroom control of the Pepsi Cola as an example to other global corporations.
Don't we want the Pepsi Cola to be victimized by the AgBAD (AGBell)? Or just the normal stage of multinational corporation on their own?
The reality about the changed consumer preference for carbonated drinks across the Western Hempshire due to healthy eating/drinking practices. Nothing to do with the AgBAD at all. The AgBAD (AGBell) could buy up the Pepsi shares to take control of the boardroom decisions affecting the future commericals with ASL. Who knows?

Deaf Insight: Voted For Huckabee As a Protest Vote Against John McCain, But ..
I actually voted for Mike Huckabee as part of "protest" vote against Sen. John McCain in Northern Virginia this Tuesday morning, February 12th, but I am a registered Democrat myself since 1984. I do vote independently without tying myself to any political party affilation.
I had a hard time to decide between Obama and Hillary over the past weekend. I was overly disappointed in the Obama and Hillary campaign people for not captioning their campaign videos and "You, Tube' postings.
I was definitely struggled what I should vote for. I decided to throw my vote for Mike Huckabee which I was very appalled with Senator John McCain for his "do-nothing" Gallaudet Board of Trustees role. Why Sen. John McCain agreed to the appointment of Gally board member in the first place by attending no meetings or met with anyone within the Gally community last two years ago.
I took the advantage of Virginia's "Open Primary" status without restricting myself to the Democratic Party ballot. So I voted for Mike Huckabee to shove the dried corn cob into John McCain's rectum and force the GOP to split itself this summer to pave the way for the Democratic victory.
I personally root for Mike Bloomberg, the current NYC mayor to be the next President of the United States (POTUS), but he is not officially run for the national ticket yet. With the GOP likely nomination of John McCain. Bloomberg would be not likely to run at all. He rather run as an alternative to the political ideological rifts between the Democratic and Republican Party.
Did you know that Ralph Nader recently filed the presidential campaign package with the Federal Election Commission (FEC)? Will Nader be the 2008 spoiler again? Who knows?
I always voted for the loser anyway from Sen. George McGovern in the mock 1972 elementary student election as a third grader. I also rooted for Rep. Morris Udall of Arizona against Jimmy Carter at the 1976 Democratic Convention. I voted for Jimmy Carter anyway in 1976 and 1980. I voted for Walter Mondale in 1984. I voted for Mike Dukakis in 1988. I voted for H. Perot Ross in 1992. I did not vote for Clinton in 1996. I voted for Ralph Nader as a part of protest vote against Al Gore in the 2000 election. I voted for John Kerry *gulp*
I surely missed working as a poll worker in the Thomas/Logan Circle (Northwest DC) area where I used to live before. That was kinda fun to observe and learn about how the GLBT adults vote. $150 for the whole day of work wasn't really bad at the polling place. Many gay males came up to me - "Hey, you really made my day at the polling place" which I was very fast at indexing registered voters and let them vote without wasting their time in the line. I learned their own secrets from whom they casted their ballots.
I was more likely leaned toward Hillary Clinton in despite of my personal loathes with the "status quo" and the establishment status, but had to face the reality how life really works.
Many people compared to Obama to JFK. From the perspective of many historians and myself as a historian, JFK's presidency was a major failure with too many legislations passed unsuccessfully. The real difference between eloquent speeches and inspirational speeches and political mechanisms to get things done. Obama submitted 129 national legislative bills. Only nine out of 129 bills only passed. Obama skipped too much on his Senate voting duties which he only made 20 percent of showing up to cast his Senate votes. Why Obama accepted to be the U.S. Senator representing the state of IL in the first place? Senator Robert C. Byrd of WV was absolutely right by telling Obama that was not his time to run for the POTUS in 2008.
I had problems with the idea of Hillary Clinton as the next POTUS due to her past failures from the health care incentives to endless personal grudges against anyone. Hillary definitely know the ways around the White House on the very first day from every nooks and corners.
I was once an idealistic person myself, but many deaf elders would not take me seriously or accompany new concept of bold and active and result-oriented leadership. People in general, want their backs to be stratched and expected something in return.
All presidential politics are really the "pony and dog" shows anyway. Our country could survive the next POTUS anyway. Yea, we have to clean up Dubya (George W. Bush)'s real mess for more than 50 to 100 years due to the monstrous budget deficit.
Do you know why GWB and his cronies purposefully run up the trillion-dollar budget deficit? They will get the payoffs from the banking industry to show the real appreciation for running up loans with hefty interest rates. The Bushes and Cheneys will reap from years of living very well above the standard presidential retirement. How shame!

Why Sign Pepsi That Way?
Out of curiousity, why the deaf people sign 'Pepsi" in resemblance of old ASL sign for Italy so far?
Was the Pepsi Cola, Inc. ran by the Italian-Americans or what? Look at the surname of Nancy Pelosi, another Italian-American as the current House of Speaker, native Baltimorean herself? Pelosi ~ Pepsi
My deaf mother and other deaf Marylanders signed Pepsi in much different way like "Y" hitting on the lower lip in repeated moves. They usually made facial expression with arched eyebrows like "Wanna a Pepsi?" with the handshaped of Y on the lip.
Handful of deaf people illogically sign "Coke drink" in resemblance of vaccine shot on the interior part between forearm and bicep.
I have seen the current Pepsi ASL sign for very first time when I enrolled at Gallaudet. I really never bothered to ask the logical meaning behind the present-day Pepsi sign.
What about any of you, deaf people out there?
My family heartily drink Pepsi glass bottles for treats until my deaf mother turned to the Canadian Ginger Ale drinks from time to time. My family lost real interests in drinking Pespi after all the carbonated drink manfacturers turned to the composition of plastic liter drinks. Yeech!
There are still carbonated drinks served in glass bottles in some ethnic restuarants. I gulped Coke from the glass bottle which reminded me much of my childhood how delicious carbonated drinks could be.
I want to know the origin of Pepsi sign. Could anyone deaf out there help me with this one? Thanks.

You, Jamie Berke, Please Relinquish Your AgBAD Membership
I, Robert L. Mason, RLMDEAF blogger, herby challenge you, Jamie Berke to relinquish (cancel/give up) your Alexander Graham Bell Association (AgBAD) membership as a shining example to your DeafRead readership along with your own blogs, "About: Deafness" and "Berke Outspoken".
You often said to me and others that you found American Sign Language (ASL) to be incredibly beautiful and unique. You always wanted to be memersized with the usage of American Sign Language (ASL) to more advanced level. What happened?
Unforunately, the Alexander Graham Bell Association (AgBAD) chose to undercut the existence of visibly eloquent and majestic language, American Sign Language (ASL) within the Pespi television commerical for the Super Bowl 2008 bonzana ads.
What give the AgBAD organization such right to dictate the viewing options of Americans from making up their own minds to appreciate the Pespi's Super Bowl 2008 commerical ad with the use of American Sign Language (ASL)? The AgBAD organization ought not to interfere the commerical entity from paying respect to the linguistic minority usage in the United States like the American Sign Language.
The Pepsi Cola, Inc. always supported the progressive causes and involved in untapped niche market in its company history. Pepsi Cola Inc., reached out to the disfranchised African American customers in the late 1940s. The Pepsi Cola came up with all-black adveristment and portrayed African-Americans in a positive light. One Pespi ad with the young African American kid in the 1940s was the future Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown. Other Pepsi ads featured 20 prominent African Americans from the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Ralph Bunche and photographer Gordon Parks. Pepsi also was well-known for its marketing innovation within the marketing circle.
The Pepsi Co also showed the Coca Cola Company's reptuation for its reclutance of hiring African Americans in the pre-civil rights period. Pepsi exposed the systematic racism and Jim Crow laws as a selling point to boost its company sales of carbonated drink. How brillant!
Of course, Pepsi Co. dealt with the heat from the white America about extending its company resources and marketing strategy to the African American community. Pepsi Co. stood up to the critics of its day. Pespi's gutsy move got paid off with the product sales over the Coca Cola Company later in years.
Pespi Cola Inc. also is known for not really protecting the marketing shares of its flagship brands anyway. Pespi could withstand the organized boycotts or threats so far. The majority of Americans will see the AgBAD organization in a bad light for attempting to censor or imitidate the multi-national corporation into submissive role.
The AgBAD organization have done was the assault on the use of language choice and free market option within its selfish objection to the Pespi Co's use of culturally deaf individuals and American Sign Language (ASL). The Pespi Co. marketing team just got an idea from the EnAble, an employee network with its mission of promoting more inclusive environment for people with disabilities.
The Deaf American community of the early 21th Century is in the struggle to retain linguistic and cultural intergity in an assimilating society within the use of American Sign Language as its own language choice and preference.
One thing that you could do something is to resign from the AgBAD organization as a member to show your own personal disgust with the AgBAD leadership under Alexander T. Graham. The AgBAD organization will be seen as an agent of linguicism if they do not issue the formal apology in timely manner.
Or you are like the people, who do nothing about ethnic and cultural and linguistic persecution throughout the humankind history. The issue about your AgBAD membership fall on your shoulders now. Please issue the videocast of tearing up your AgBAD membership and urge other AgBAD members to denounce the Alexander Graham Bell Association (AgBAD) for inflicting the linguistic genocide upon Americans and the global viewers. Thanks!

Cy's "Deaf Tea Time" Great Posting About Discords on DeafRead
Cy's wisdoms always prevail every time on her "Deaf Tea Time" vlogsite.
I encountered too many deaf people and told me personally that they lost their personal interests in the DeafRead site lately.
Questions arised about the Pro-CI blogs whether they are really the corporate-driven agendas for the CI manfacturers and investors. If yes, then the DeafRead ought to charge the so-called business interests for the posting fee to run the Deaf blogsphere.
I am with Cy and other concerned deaf individuals all the way. Many pro-CI print publications do not bother to print any viewpoints from culturally deaf individuals whose express criticism or concerns about the CI itself.
Not many culturally deaf mediums exist anywhere in the world. Let us, culturally deaf people have our own spaces without being compromised, infringed upon, imposed or annoyed.
Cy offered the perfect solution - seperate "medical" page on the DeafRead blogsphere.
Culturally deaf people often willing to bend down for the sake of so-called diverse viewpoints, but the proponents of CI and oralism frequently do not return such a favor.
At least, we, culturally deaf need our own spaces like steering CI proponents to the smoking area. Every of us know the secondhand smoke is generally bad for nonsmokers. Smokers still could light up their addictions feet away from non-smokers and individuals with asthma in designated area. Solution for everyone!
Thank you, Cy for bringing up this brilliant idea. We, the DeafRead viewers always love you and your sincere vlog presentations.
