Is Joseph the MetroWeekly's Coverboy Dysconscious Audist?

DC's Metroweekly glossy magazine available every week for DC area's GLBT community. The magazine usually feature the selected guy within DC area to be their coverboy of the week.

This week's Coverboy happened to be the graduate of Gallaudet University - Joseph, an Asian 20s guy. Not available at this online posting yet. His photo and Coverboy Confidential data already went out on the printed copies of Metroweekly, but not posted online yet. Joesph was adopted as a kid from South Korea and raised in the Hawkeye State (Iowa).He also raised in the farm with 14 siblings.

That Joesph seems not wanted to disclose himself as a deaf person or really the HUG (hearing graduate) himself? His study major was government and had been in the student internship for Honorable Tom Harkins, U.S. Senator, D-Iowa. Joseph greatly admired the senator for his endless advocacy for disabled people as what Joesph said within the interview.

Joesph's exact quote for MetroWeekly's Coverboy Confidential interview :

Who is your greatest influence?

Tom Harkins. He's not only been an advocate for people with disabilities, but he's voted his conscience, what he thinks is right. Since I've been able to vote, I've voted for him.

Why I bring up this guy? Joesph might have the future political career of his. From what Joseph told the interviewer -

Define good in bed.

I wouldn't mind answering something like that, but I work with the government. And I have plans to run for office someday.

Joseph did not mention anything deaf or truly proud of being a deaf person. Or the Metroweekly magazine interviewer and editor rather omit any reference to him being deaf or really hearing himself?

The past deaf individuals like Lee Trevathan and Dan and Cesar Ayala have been featured as the Metroweekly's Coverboy. Lee Trevathan and Cesar Ayala made into the final selection for the annual Coverboy of the Year few years ago.

Deaf Gally Professor, L. Synder-Garnder Died in Recent Fire

Regretfully informed you, RLMDEAF readers about the unfortunate incident involved Deaf Gallaudet University math professor and her daughter and ten pets died in the rented house blaze.

The name of Gallaudet University deaf math professor - It's Laura Synder-Garnder. Very sad. Her deaf daughter, Mary Ann, a junior at Gallaudet University, was killed as well as ten pets- two dogs and eight cats. Laura Synder-Garnder had very outgoing personality.

Sexual Assault at Md School for the Deaf, 12/9/12

The latest sexual assault occurred at the MD School for the Deaf by male dormitory aide involved teenage girls.

 How sad about any adult violate the child's body in that manner!!  Why takes so long for the school authorities catch up with this sexual predator toward our precious deaf youth?? 

At least, someone came forward to report on the male dormitory aide's inappropriate behaviors toward students.

So the MD School for the Deaf ought to screen all school personnel more vigorously to ensure no further sexual assaults happen again to any student(s).

To my own shocks about the legendary actress Bette Davis was overly prejudiced toward anyone, who could not hear. Robert Wagner was a well-known actor in handful of films and television series. Wagner wrote that actress Bette Davis blurted out "She could not hear!!" in reference to actress Lillian Gish during the filming of "Whales in August" 1980s film. Actress Bette Davis scoffed about why Lillian Gish bother to perform at her own age. Both actress were in their 80s. Gish was in her nearly 100 years old. Bette Davis' sayings could be find on the page 222 of Robert Wagner's autobiography book. Bette Davis was among the
Golden Age Hollywood's biggest and powerful movie stars.

Many deaf television audience fondly remember Robert Wagner from the ABC-TV's "Hart to Hart" detective couple show with actress Stephanine Powers in the 1980s decade. The "Hart to Hart" tv show was among the first television shows to be closed captioned for the deaf audience after very popular tv show, "Dynasty" among the deaf communities on every Wednesday nights!

Documentary on Sex Abuses of Deaf Boys Shown @ Toronto Fill Festival 2012

The full-length documentary revisited the actual horrors of  systematic sex abuses against deaf boys at the St. John Institute of the Deaf in Wisconsin got the royal treatment @ Toronto Film Festival 2012.

Deaf character in "Resident Evil : Retribution" film

There will be the deaf character in the upcoming sci-fic/horror/zombie film, "Resident Evil - Restribution", the fifth film sequel to the 'Resident Evil" back to 2002.- Wiki info on the first film - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120804/

Very same child actress from another film, "Orphan" play the deaf character in "Resident Evil "Restribution". The child actress is Arayana Engineer. Hpw odd for this kind of surname - Engineer. You probably remember the cute blond deaf girl primarly use sign language in "Orphan" thriller film. That is her!  The child actress is really partially deaf herself, not profoundly deaf as widely believed at the beginning.

Arayanna Engineer was discovered by the agent when she signed with her real-life mother. Her life was completely changed as a superb perfomer in the 2009 film, "Orphan". Arayanna have many fans and admirers of her film performance in "Orphan". Many people considered Arayanna to be one of the best

So the deaf character in 'Resident Evil - Retribution" will be not the signing one which the Wiki Encyclopedia incorrectly stated for this film. The deaf character in film trailer was seen by speaking orally "Do not go into this room!" as what the Wiki claimed. The deaf character and leading character known as "Alice", the anti heroine fought against the evils of corporatism and genetic engineering went astray led to the breeding of flesh-eating zombies. The relationship between the deaf child and Alice will be much like "Ripley and Newt" from "Aliens", the second film sequel to the 1979's "Alien" film. The name of deaf character is Becky.
