Updated Newsreport from the FCC Hearing, 4/29/08

Approximately 30 deaf "consumer advocate" representatives attended yesterday's FCC hearing on the timetable implementation of the 10-digit portable phone numbers within the VRS service providers.

The FCC commissioners and industry personnel faced each other across from the opposite end of table to make their public comments. Deaf consumer advocate representatives from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) to TeleCommunications of the Deaf (TDI) made their views known to the FCC commissioners and VRS service providers.

Jeff Rosen, the interested bystander and consumer advocate of the deaf, expressed such concerns about the long waiting lists for the VRS equipments up to 14 thousands list.

Please check out the FCC website for viewing the public meeting on the left side (colored yellow tab) to the bottom of the FCC website for the Events forum.
