Sen. Alquist has claimed that Polanco has "removed his opposition" to AB 2072, yet Polanco works for CDNIAS and CDNIAS has not removed its opposition. She probably mispoke.

  6. Earth should stop turning...earth needs to stand still...senators who voted no did and do not consider us abled citizens...showed no respect for our community...we should march on highway 5 from LA to Sacto...may sound farfetched but we need to get ourselves heard!
RLM--- thanks for being supportive...you surely have healthy mind, spirit and soul!

  7. Yay! More opportunities for ASL exposure!

  8. This is GOOD....I don't understand how you don't see that! EVERY SINGLE PARENT will now be informed of ASL. That was NOT happening before, and now will be. How is that bad, or Nazi-like, or eugenics???

  9. Miss Kat's Parents-

Wake up and smell the truth! I have been to audiology clinic zillion times and all of them were devastated and disappointed that I used ASL...even much disappointed when they learned that my mom is DEAF and can't speak. You know that audiologists worship ears and very baised professionals. Be honest with yourself.

  10. This comes from the so called RR as stated in one of the comments above. To associate me and a handful of others with the right vision as associates to Hitler is probably made it difficult for the opposition to get the unity needed to defeat the bill. If you're going to call me and others eugenicists and compare us with Hitler you're basically heading the sign language minority of the deaf community to the rocks.

See the Modern deaf Communication website on how you can get a free laptop computer.

  11. RR,

You are a con artist telling people how they can get a free laptop computer... it is like an audiologist telling a parent how their deaf child will get a free cochlear implant.(the audiologist gets a fat commission...and you too with the free laptop given away)

Hitler was a con artist too.

Folks, don't be fooled by these con artist.

  12. Correa voted against it because he's had a number of deaf volunteers in his campaign headquarters in the past decade.

  17. There are a bunch of raving lunatics here...

The whole point of this bill is that audiologist can NOT hide ASL anymore. Parents will FINALLY have the chance to make an informed decision.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Miss Kat's Parents-

You are surely in denial stage. Will the State of California monitor audiologists closely to make sure that they will not give biased information? How many audiologists do we have in California? Thousands I believe. It is time for audiologists to back off and let education consultants work with parents after their children get results from hearing test. It is time to stop focusing on ears and shift to language/education...language/education...language/education. No more lies. Please think of million of deaf children who have been abandoned from language and education system. Not few but millions of them. You know this is true so please stand up and fight for them this time. They need our voice! We have allowed audiologists involved in Deaf children' lives...no more of that...we need to change mission and send Deaf children/parents to meet with consultants (education system) to work with them.
