Miami Herald Reporter OUTED Luke, Deaf Contestant ....

Miami Herald newspaper reporter, Jose Atervois informally outed the signing deaf contestant of 'The Amazing Race", Luke Adams -
http://miamiherald.typepad.com/gaysouthflorida/2009/05/aftereltoncom-interview-with-margie-and-luke-from-the-amazing-race.html

Or this reporter just made a speculation of Luke 's sexual preference? Is that really necessary to make such an assumption about someone deaf's sexuality or what?

That would be a non-issue to the Deaf America and other deaf people around the world.

RLM's Deaf Insight of the Day - 6/8/09

Here is my first RLM's Deaf Insight of the Deaf on the deaf interests. President Obama and his family will visit the impressive Norte Dame Catherdal in Paris (France) today. We do have the name of American town - Paris, Texas!

The site of Norte Dame Catherdal inspired Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Norte Dame", a classic French novel which involved the deaf deformed bell ringer known as "Quaismodo". For more story on the "Hunchback of the Norte Dame" just check out Hugo's work at the public library or Internet or bookstore.

Lon Chaney Sr., CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) himself, done the unforgettable portrayal of Quaisomodo in the 1900s silent film, was one of the best Hunchback film. No actors equaled to Lon Chaney Sr.' "Quaismodo" portrayal over the century. Chaney was known as the "Man of Thousand Faces" for film fans within his superbu transformation of different roles.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923)
http://www.cinemaweb.com/silent/film/chaney/

Early adaptation of the novel by Victor Hugo starring Lon Chaney. You can find out more about this movie on its IMDB page.

The Walt Disney's 1990s film, "The Hunchback of Norte Dame" did not mention any of Quaismodo's deafness. What a sad omission!

Remmy "The Queen of Mean" Making Fun of Deaf People?

Remember last year's NTID/RIT deaf student protest against the "Queen of Mean", Linda Lamponelli? I happened to view the DVD with Linda Lamponelli at the Java Boys coffeehouse last Friday evening in Wilton Manor (gay area of Fort Lauderdale).

Guess what? I surely loved Linda Lamponelli's comedy routine no matter she lambasted deaf people as kind of retards, etc. At first, I found her comedy to be pretty boring and repetitive until she endlessly made fun of deaf people. What a riot!

Here are some examples from her politically incorrect stuff on deaf people -

"Deaf people don't like me!" "I really do not care what deaf people think of me"

"Let me tell you what happened at Rochester" "Deaf people formed the protest against me and said that I could not make fun of them at all" *groaning*

"Could you believe that deaf people coming to the radio station and marched around it with signs, blah?"

"Radio station???" with eye popping act "Who told them??" "That was a blind person with ax to grind!

"I learned something new about the deaf international sign" "Let me show you what it look like?" "Here is the "C" sign refer to the female anatomy (pu*sy)" "Is that rectangular shape?" with tongue popping "Is that really triangle?" refer to the deaf sign for p*ssy or vagina

Lamponelli also added "clitoris" sign to the female anatomy sign.

Many African Americans and Asians and gays endlessly laughed with Linda Lamponelli.

Are we really overreacting without seeing Lamponelli's entire act or what?

Here is her official website - www.insultcomic.com

I look forward to more "insult" materials toward deaf people in near future. Comedian Linda Lamponelli really is not a mean person in real life. She frequently have sex with African American guys and have gay friends and love Asian people. I respect her for saying "n" which I always want to say this word pretty often without getting controversial or hit by African American guys.

Back in the early 1990s, I was totally shocked at my deaf African American male friend for calling another fellow of his "N". I subtly asked if I could use "N". I was told not to Why not??

I usually call some African American thugs "N" for what they really are all about! I am not a racist myself. Just a word! I ever called "whitey" by one of the deaf African American guy. That is totally unfair!

AGBell No Manners!

The Alexander Graham Bell Association of the Deaf (AGBad) ought to be really ashamed of hirself on very bad manner by refusing the certified letter from the Audism Free America (AFA). How rude! How arrogant of the AGBad!

Hey AGBad, the Audism Free America (AFA) already done the real courtesy of getting itself in the middle ground to reach out and engage you in such talks to work out the concerns affecting the Deaf America on your audistic behavior from the Pespi letter to the denounction of AFA's peaceful rally outside the AGBad building.

What kind of manners we are getting from the AGBad? You, the AGBad people know better than resorting to poor manners like disrespecting the AFA representatives with such demands for no recording of historic meeting on the terrain of the Volta Bureau building (AGBAD) and denounce the guests behind their backs by issuing the public statement. What an unbelievable manner!

What will Miss Manners, the national syndicated columnist would say about very inconsiderate and selfish manner on the part of the AGBell organization by dismissing the AFA's attempts for fruitful communication to maximize the benefits of deaf youngsters everywhere?

What will the Georgetown DC society think of you, the AGBad choose to snub the incoming guest like the Audism Free American (AFA)? What about your other finanical donors?

The AFA ought to ask the U.S. Congress and other parents of deaf youngsters and babies the same courtesy to deny you, the AGBad all the lobbying access for your terrible manner to the AFA all the way. So you, the AGBad could understand how the AFA and the Deaf America really feel about your mean-spirited manner.

AGBad, Never turn down any kind of written correspondence or attempted communication! You are the real parasite to every fabric of American society from your unethical and money-grubbing behavior toward strong-willed deaf individuals express their concerns for the well-beings of deaf youngsters and babies from any further harm and no-barred educational opportunities.

Last of all, Miss Manner would wholly agree with me on this subject. *scolding, scolding* and remind you of the real importance of good manners! Enjoy your weekend, AGBad! See that I am also extending you very nice manner. Please return your good manner to the AFA! Thanks in advance!

AFA, DBC, NAD Must Get Together to Denounce "Evils" of Audism

Hopefully will see the Audism Free America (AFA), Deaf Bilingual Coaltion (DBC), National Association of the Deaf (NAD, all State Associations of the Deaf and other deaf organizations STAND TOGETHER to denounce the evils of audism embraced by the Alexander Graham Bell
Association of the Deaf (AGBad) and other audistic people and establishments REAL SOON BEFORE THE END OF THIS SUMMER 2009!

Please issue out the very public statement against the AGBad for its refusal to meet the Audism Free America (AFA) in the middle ground to resolve the issues of audism against deaf people in general on the television show like "Oprah" or press conference with journalists at the National Press Club, Washington, DC.

President Obama made a fine example of excellent chessmanship to counteract against Iran and other evildoers including the former Nazis for such denial of human diversity.

Here is Obama's latest offer to Iran -

What About Excuses for Audism??

There was the scientific research on people why and how they turn up politically liberal or conservative. Their conclusions - the genetic afflictions of people end up behaving such way.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090605/sc_livescience/conservativesaremoreeasilydisgusted
or type www.livescience.com and look for the title of this article -
"Conservatives Are Easily Digusted" by Robert Roy Britt

What about audistic people??? I am speaking of audism! I am kinda feared that the audistic people would use some kind of good excuses like "That is in my gene! I could not help it at all if I behave this way!" Total hogwash!

Yes, there are many scientific researches proved why handful of particular individuals become racists due to their own mental illness.

I recalled that one white deaf lady used to roommate with deaf African American lady and ended up hating all black people and muttering racist talks endlessly. That very same deaf lady used to interact regularly with deaf African Americans and turned racist overnight. Luckily, other deaf African Americans were very tolerant with her racist talks and let her talked that way.

What about our own tolerance with audistic people (audism) on social level? Workplace? Professional development? Legal circles? Just think about it!

Carradine's Brother Appeared in Film with Deaf Characters

Carradine's Brother Appeared in Film with Deaf Characters

The shocking news about David Carradine's suicide death in Thailand during the filming of the film sequel to Quentin Tarrantino's "Kill Bill" film. His half-brother, Keith Carradine had appeared in the 1975 film, "Nashville" with deaf characters. Lily Tomlin's character was a mother of deaf son in that same film. Ironically, Robert Altman's "Nashville" film was largely a musical film with several deaf characters. http://www.filmsite.org/nash.html

Actress Louise Fletcher, CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) herself ended up winning the Oscar's Best Actress for the Nurse Ratched character in Micheal Douglas' "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" film with Jack Nicholson that 1976 year which "Nashville' film was nominated for the Best Picture within the same year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_Fletcher
http://www.littlereview.com/goddesslouise/
http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/movies/bestpictures/cuckoo-ar2.html

Louise Fletcher played the chilling and powerful "Nurse Ratched" character based on her real-life experience from going to several deaf asylums with her deaf missionary father during her childhood years. Please check out the NY Times article above this paragraph.

Fletcher was the first person, who used American Sign Language (ASL) on the Oscar telecast, not Marlee Maltin. Fletcher's deaf parents currently lived in Georgia which she frequently visited her deaf parents and donated a lot of money to her deaf father (pastor)'s church and church events.

Many male deaf students at schools of the deaf across the United States in America dutifully watched David Carradine's wildly popular 1970s' tv series, "Kung Fu" about the traveling monk with amazing kung fu. I never liked this tv series which it was all pointless and repetitve.

I was much a Bruce Lee person myself back in the 1970s. Bruce Lee was a cultural phenomeon in the 1970s cultural scenes with his sinewy body and R-rated film with overt violence. Ever loved to watch Bruce Lee in his "Green Hornet" character in the campy Batman 1960s tv series. The kung fu craze took over America in the early 1970s with impressive physique of Bruce Lee.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PC2S7y9nm4s&feature=related Just ignore first one to two minutes if you want to see the real cultural impacts what Bruce Lee had upon the 1960s and 1970s.

Still couldn't believe that David Carradine would commit suicide at age of 72. I never was a fan of the Carradine acting family except Keith and Robert Carradine. I found Keith Carradine's character as "child molestor/murderer" in the CBS-TV's "Chiefs" 1983 tv miniseries to be most chilling and realistic. http://www.nndb.com/films/433/000084181/
http://www.amazon.com/Chiefs-Tv-Mini-VHS-Charlton-Heston/dp/6302550424

Many deaf people seen David Carradine's well-known father, John Carradine in numerous low-budget horror films from the 1940s to 1970s.
http://www.briansdriveintheater.com/johncarradine.html

What really make actor David Carradine mentally snapped at that time to end his own life? Or David realized that he was really all worthless himself?
